There are two viewers used for Second Life and both are free downloads. The first one is a viewer provided by Second Life, called Viewer 2. It is a good viewer and user friendly. The log in block for this viewer is shown below. Not long ago, avatars had a first and last name. Recently, Second Life stopped providing last names. Now the avatars have only one name. This name can be anything you want it to be. In the "username" block is the name sweetiexxxlacourte. The x's are there to demonstrate that you might need to modify the name you use if it has been taken by someone else. Sweetie Lacourte, a princess at the castle, took her name before the new rule started, so she does not need the "xxx". Also, look at the "Start at" block. Copy this address, Glacier Bay/56/65/29 and paste it into that block. When you log in you will be transported to Castillo del Corazón where we can give you personalized help.

The second viewer is called Phoenix and can be downloaded at http//www.phoenixviewer.com. We prefer this viewer because it shows animations that the Viewer 2 does not, and it has a Radar Mode that tells who is in your area and how far away they are. Phoenix has a slightly different log in block. You can see that there is a block for the first and last name of the avatar. If you are new and only have a first name, this might seem a little confusing. The "First Name" block shows "jack3232". The "Last Name" block shows "resident". If you are new and only have a first name, then use "resident" as your last name and the system will accept your log in.

Do the same with the "Start Location" block as you would do in Viewer 2. Copy this address, Glacier Bay/56/65/29 and paste it into that block. When you log in you will be transported to Castillo del Corazón where we can give you personalized help.
