Planning

Taking the time to think about what you would like to have in your virtual world and how you want it to work is worth your time.

If you watch several different virtual worlds load, you will find that some of them load quickly, and others take considerably longer. Of course, this could be attributed to the size of the world, but it could also be due to excessive design. For instance, let's say you have created a virtual world with six buildings. There are 24 outside walls. Three buildings are the same and the other three are twice the size. If you write scripts for two different size walls and reuse them in each building, it takes the computer less time to load than if you wrote 12, or 24 scripts. This is a rather simple example, but the point is that designing parts that are reuseable saves you time and helps your world load faster.

I am glad you are here. Stay and have fun!!
