If you have reviewed all of the information we have provided, then you are ready to join Second Life. Clicking on one of the Second Life(SL) banners will take you to a page where you can complete your membership. Here are some things to know:
-You will be asked to name your avatar. Not long ago, avatars had a first and last name. Recently, Second Life stopped providing last names. Now the avatars have only one name. This name can be anything you want it to be, if the name is not already taken.
-Next, enter a password you will not forget. You will need it to access your avatar on SL.
-Now you are ready to choose an avatar. These avatars are very generic and once you enter SL you will see many of them. Alot of newbies wondering around trying to figure out what you have already learned here.
When you fill in your personal information, keep in mind that the birthday you enter is tracked by the system. Children under the age of 13 are prohibited from joining SL.
After your submittal has been accepted, you are ready to enter Second Life. Bring up your Secondlife viewer, plug in your avatar name, password, destination(Glacier Bay/56/65/29) and click LOG IN. You will appear at the entrance to "Castillo del Corazón". You are home!
